While the crowd was not quite as raucous as the scene in New Hampton Friday, March 21, there were many Iowa-nice-yet-firm folks in the crowd who were willing to stand up and tell Senator Chuck Grassley exactly what they want him and the congress to do.

The small room was jammed, standing room only. I haven’t seen coverage of outside but I understand there were people outside who could not get in.

It was a challenge for Grassley because let’s face it, he was trying to defend the indefensible. He ended the meeting today the same way he did at Hampton – by turning and walking away.
