John Schumacher, longtime WFPI (Workers for Peace-Iowa) member suffered a heart attack and passed away in late October, 2019. He was a great historian of the Peace movement, knew of all the local events, knew many of its people, and he himself was very much involved. John kept us from taking ourselves too seriously, always full of good humor, stories, and jokes. Join us in remembering him, as we feel the loss, and celebrate what he has brought into our lives.
