Stop The Union Busting: Rally Tuesday

Rally to Save Public Sector Collective Bargaining Tuesday, February 7th 10:30 am

Rally at the Capitol
Capitol Building, Des Moines Iowa

Key Republican members of the Iowa legislature plan to file a bill on Monday February 6th that would gut collective bargaining rights for teachers, firefighters, city and school district employees, bus drivers, librarians, and other people who work in the public sector across Iowa. This would be a devastating blow to working families in this state, and its modeled after the bill passed in Wisconsin in 2011.

We are asking all activists who can come to Des Moines to join us for a rally and press conference at 10:30 AM in the Capitol Building.

If you cannot make it to Des Moines, but are would like to help locally, please contact Tracy Leone for phone banking and post card signing opportunities: 309-738-3196.

  1. John Howes says:

The “conservatives” don’t believe “labor” should be allowed to organize, but have no trouble with “capital” organizing, e.g., ALEC.
