Join Me For Events in Cedar Rapids (Dec. 6), Des Moines (Dec. 8), and Iowa City (Dec. 12)
I’m working hard getting Iowa Senate Democrats ready for the 2017 legislative session and helping our candidate in the Dec. 27 special election in Scott County, Jim Lykam, to fill the vacancy created by the passing of Senator Dr. Joe Seng in Scott County.
We need your help, both financially and with your time and your talent. We need to reach out and listen, recruit and support candidates, raise money, invigorate our grassroots, and present a positive vision for the future across our state. Please join me for one of these three upcoming events to help us begin rebuilding our Iowa Senate Democratic Majority:
1. Tuesday, December 6, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., my annual legislative preview and fundraiser at the African-American Museum of Iowa, 55 12th Avenue SE, in Cedar Rapids. Feel free to invite others by sharing this event page on social media:
2. Thursday, December 8, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., a “rebuild our majority” event at Saints Pub, 4041 Urbandale Avenue, in the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines, with Senators Janet Petersen, Tony Bisignano, Chaz Allen, and others. Here is an event page for this event you can share:
3. Monday, December 12, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., a “rebuild our majority” event at the Sanctuary Pub, 405 South Gilbert Street in Iowa City, with Senators Joe Bolkcom and Bob Dvorsky. Here is an event page for this event you can share:
If you cannot attend one of these events, you can still contribute financially by mailing a check made payable to “Citizens for Rob Hogg” to P.O. Box 1361, Cedar Rapids, IA 52406, or by contributing online:

Finally, I plan to be visiting many more communities across our state in 2017 as we rebuild our Iowa Senate Democratic majority. Let me know if you would like me or another one of our legislative Democrats to visit your community. Send me an email at SenatorRobHogg@gmail.com and we will work on scheduling a visit soon.
Thanks for your ongoing support. I hope to see you soon.
