Iowans for Quality Medicaid

On Monday, the Iowa Legislature’s Health Policy Oversight Committee will meet at 10am at the State Capitol to get an update on the Governor’s plan to privatize Medicaid.

There will be an opportunity for public comments, but all of the spots have been filled. However, you can still submit written comments that will be shared with the full committee by sending an email to: patty.funaro@legis.iowa.gov

We’ve also learned federal officials moved their trip back a week and will be here this week of December 6th instead.

It means there is still time to take action and ask the federal Director of Medicaid to stop Branstad’s rush to privatize Medicaid. You can email him at andy.slavitt@cms.hhs.gov
