Medicaid Listening Posts In Muscatine, Sigourney

Just a reminder: If you are concerned about the Governor’s privatization of Iowa Medicaid, make your voice heard.

Senate Assistant Majority Leader Joe Bolkcom and I will host a listening post.

The meeting will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 28, at Muscatine Community College—Room 75 (Larson Hall), 152 Colorado Street, Muscatine.

    I am against the Governor’s decision to prioritize Medicaid. My brother can’t live without his medicine for a mental condition. It is also extremely hard for him to make changes in doctors. First the Governor did away with mental hospitals to help people with mental conditions. I feel now that he wants to do away with a very low cost solution of providing medicine and medical care to people that need it.
