To Remind Us Of Our Desire to Build A Peaceful Future AWAY From WAR.

Whereas, too often rhetoric and patriotic symbols used to praise veterans are also used to justify war, and
Whereas, since WWI, the civilian casualties of war have far outnumbered combatant casualties, and
Whereas, by honoring only Veterans, the public is distracted from the awful price paid by all victims of war, soldiers & civilians,
NOW,Stand with us for half an hour to honor and remember all victims of war and to re-dedicate ourselves to the work of peace.

Organized by Veterans for Peace,Iowa Chapter #161
