Congressman Braley Under Assault By Tea Party Candidates

[Editor’s note:  This was a close race in 2010.   Please chip in if you can.]

Already, three Tea Party Republican candidates have declared that they’re running against me, including the chosen candidate of the secret donor-funded, Republican-backed American Future Fund, which spent $2 million in 2012 on false campaign attack ads trying to beat me.

That’s why I need your help right now. We’ve set a goal to raise $15,000 from supporters like you before the end of the year. We need a strong showing to make sure my opponents get the message: I have real grassroots supporters — not one or two shady Wall Street donors.

Will you chip in $5 or more right now to help us reach our $15,000 goal?

So what will the 2012 campaign bring?

More Tea Party extremism. More secret, unlimited spending by big corporate interests. And a renewed effort by these special interests to expand their majority in Congress.

I know I can count on you. You can bet your bottom dollar that Republican front groups will try again in 2012 to buy this seat with another truckload of secret spending. And my opponents need to know that we’re running a campaign in 2012 based on grassroots support, not secret corporate donations.

Together, we’ve fought to create jobs for the middle class, help veterans find jobs and stay in their homes when they return from war, and lower taxes for Iowa working families – not millionaires.

But we can’t continue fighting for you and your family without your financial support.

Please chip in $5 or more before December 31 to help us reach $15,000.

Thanks for all you do,

Bruce
