for it’s rightful owner
let’s rename it Chief Black Hawk Square
do ya remember when the mural
of the
Ascension of Chief Black Hawk
existed there
then the corporate whores
and Chamber of Commerce
of Downtown Iowa City
sandblasted that
sacred icon
and that sacred face
and that sacred space
of Chief Black Hawk
into SMITHEREENS!!!
that was the death of the soul of Iowa City
and they renamed it the “Ped Mall”
how DEAD is that?
let’s get over our pain
