Senator Swati Dandekar is resigning and her seat in the Iowa State Senate will be filled by a special election on November 8th. The pro-equality majority is at stake.
With a fair-minded majority hanging in the balance it will take all of us to secure victory. In the next seven weeks, we have a lot of work to do and we need your help.

Donating to One Iowa’s effort to elect a pro-equality candidate.
Volunteer at a phone bank to make calls to supporters.
Take a volunteer vacation to knock doors and register new voters in Cedar Rapids.

To One Iowa: I hope your efforts are better organized this time. It is deeply critical that we retain our rights of marraige for ALL in this state. Marraige Equaity has GIVEN OUR BELOVED STATE A VERY, VERY GOOD NAME and REAL TRUE GROWTH CAN HAPPEN IF WE RETAIN IT. IOWA WILL NOT GROW IF BRANSTAD, VANDER PLAATS AND THE REPUBLICRATS HAVE THEIR WAY IN MAKING THE LIVES MISERABLE FOR HARD-WORKING HONESTLY-LIVING IOWANS. IF YOU WANT FOR OUR STATE TO GROW WE MUST SUPPORT CANDIDATES WHO SUPPORT A HUMAN’S FREEDOM TO MARRY THE ONE THEY TRULY LOVE. IT IS BETTER FOR ALL.
