Thanks to ThinkProgress for this video of the Rick Perry event yesterday in Iowa City and to Dave Bradley for finding it.  You would  not have known this protest was even happening outside of Hamburg Inn #2 if you had only read the local paper, the Iowa City Press-Citizen.  To be fair, the PC  did mention the protestors, but overall, they presented it as a Perry luvfest, with a dippy headline, “Perry Pops In! ”  and even though they published 4 photos, not one photo was of the protestors.  Nope, nothing but supporters, Perry signs and thumbs up.  Move along folks, nothing to see here…   Also check out BFIA’s photos of this event to see for yourself what an egregious omission it was in terms of fair and balanced coverage by the local newspaper.
