Vote On This DFIA T-Shirt Design
It's been at least several days since we did something completely frivolous on Blog for Iowa, so I thought Friday evening would be a good time to discuss T-shirts. I hope you're down with that, Deansters.
JC, frequent blogger on Blog for America, worked up this design for us. If we like it, she will put up a page for us in her CafePress Shop, and we can order all sorts of DFIA merchandise online.
So, take a look and please leave your comments in the comments section. She is willing to make modifications if we request it.

I think the depiction of
“crops” should have a green tint, not a brown tint, as that makes me think of “drought” and as a rural farm person, that is “un”hopeful…so I would do a bit of color adjusting, otherwise, ok with me.

I was thinking maybe we could put the Blog for Iowa address down in the brown soil.

Like that, maybe.
What do you think?

This emblem is brightfully fab…It would look great on a yellow or brown t-shirt or sweatshirt…Many of us do not don white shirts…Only additions I would suggest are a couple white or yellow WIND TURBINES in the upper left portion overlying the black portion…TOO PROGRESSIVE??…You decide..

Can we BE too progressive? LOL Wind turbines. Of course!
Regarding shirt colors, I believe Cafe Press now has yellow available.
Let's see if jc can do wind turbines!

Love the idea, I would like to see a little more green. That is unless the idea is to get us going toward the fall election.

I know I am probably coming in late on this discussion, but I will throw in my two bits.
I really like the color theme on a dark yellow shirt and think the wind turbines are a great idea.
To be honest though I don't much care for the use of the script lettering for Democracy of Iowa and the scale of it to the rest of the shirt seem somehow imbalanced.
And lastly, just a personal editorial note…..the great majority of Iowans do not live in rural areas and have nothing to do with agriculture. In particular I find that young people find the characterization of Iowans as all farmers objectionable. How about also having a second t-shirt design with a more urbane, youthful flavor.
