Election Action Day!

Election Action Day

Make a difference in this year's elections.

Join us for Election Action Day!

What's happening?

Today, May 8, 21st Century Democrats and other member organizations of the America Votes coalition will launch a six-month voter registration and mobilization drive to bring huge numbers of new voters to the polls this fall.

This unprecedented coordinated grassroots effort to increase voter participation involves more than 20 of the largest progressive organizations in the country.  Today's events in 17 states, including Iowa, will kick off a coordinated effort to register 250,000 new voters, contact one million voters with information about coming elections, and recruit 10 million volunteer hours.  Go to www.americavotes.org to find out what events are happening in your area.

Lend a hand!

21st Century Democrats and America Votes are working together this year to register voters, energize and inform young people about upcoming elections, and encourage people to participate in November, when every vote counts.

Between now and Election Day, 21st Century Democrats has an additional goal: to train and place as many organizers as possible with Democratic candidates to help progressives win close races.  With our trainings and experience, we're ready to work in all corners of the country with candidates who share our values, but we need your help to do it.

I'm in Illinois – NOT a swing state. So instead of registering voters, I'm shopping at Oak Brook. We are in an Apple store, showing grandma how easy it is to use the Internet. We are going to set her up with a good computer and high speed connection. This is even more valuable than registering voters – thus, a new Internet activist is born! Watch out Bushies, here comes the….Attack Mother-in-Law!
And you thought I'd gone shopping. LOL

Oh! How does grandma rate! Now that your mother-in-law is going to be reading the Blog for Iowa, do we have to be more polite?
    Nevah!
You know, there are some things to be said for a “loose” association with DFA. Alison and Tanner don't get to put what THEY think on THEIR blog! All those lawyers! LOL
