Art Cullen: “It’s Not Easy Making A Living In Rural Iowa”

Iowa’s own Dr. Robert Leonard interviews Pulitzer Prize winner Art Cullen, editor, Storm Lake Times Pilot.

Art Cullen’s new book, We Crapped In Our Nest and Bob Leonard’s book, Deep Midwest are available at icecubepress.com

This was an amazing conversation I hope you don’t miss.

“American democracy has survived this long, through the revolutionary war, the civil war, through the cold war, WW II, the McCarthy era.. we can survive this guy… And as long as we have a free press we can self-correct. And I think that’s the secret is a free and independent press that America will always self-correct.” – Art Cullen

  2. Art is not the only one who is declaring the King (Feenstra) wears no clothes. Here is story I found in Facebook in Sac News commenting on Dec. 30 Sac Suns coverage of Feenstra’s comments on how good people in the 4th CD have it. “Which Iowans Count in Randy Feenstra’s Affordability Message? ”

  3. Thank you. Here is hoping that more will read and listen to these takes on the decline of Iowa. Here is an example of revealing the truth about Feenstra and his attempt to claim all is good in Iowa’s CD 4. I found this in the Facebook post of the Sac News. ” In the December 30 edition of the Sac Sun, Rep. Randy Feenstra, a Republican representing Iowa’s 4th District, wrote an article titled “Making Life More Affordable for Iowa Families.”
